Greebles

A Greeble or nurnie is a small piece of detailing added to break up the surface of an object to add visual interest to a surface or object, particularly in movie special effects. They serve no real purpose other than to add complexity to the object. It is essentially the small detailed technical part of a larger object. The detail can be made from geometric primitives, including cylinders, cubes, and rectangles, combined to create intricate, but meaningless, surface detail. Greebles are commonly found on models, props or drawings of fictional spacecraft in science fiction. This term was coined by Ron Thornton, a pioneering 3D artist and founder of Foundation Imaging. (From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.)

Bottle Labels

The Bottle Labels can be printed on paper and applied. I would recommend you use Card-Stock for the decorative card on the Cardassian Kanar Bottle.

PADD Graphics

The PADD Graphics can be printed on clear transparencey and with Vinyl Backing will bring out the colors of the Greeble.

Vinyl Backed Graphics

Unlike traditional print operations, which can often be ruined over the years from repeated handling, vinyl backed graphics are completely impervious to moisture, touch, even water.

These raw graphics, printed on transparency film. They are need to be printed in reverse. What does this mean? I'll explain. There are two surfaces on the transparency film. One side is sticky, and has a mild texture to it. This is the side that the printer actually prints on. The other side is smooth, and is not sticky. This is the "face" side, and this is the side that you want exposed to the users. That way, they can put their hands all over it and not mess up the ink underneath. So, when I say the graphics are printed in reverse, I mean that when the printer spits out the finished transparency film, the graphics are reversed on the "sticky" side. When you flip them over and look at the smooth side, they appear normal, ie, not reversed.

The vinyl gets applied to the sticky side of the transparency film. (Make Sure Your Graphic Is Dry Before You Attempt This Step!) You can also look online for "Signmakers vinyl". There are many different companies offering this as a product. You will get slightly different results from each vinyl. When in doubt, spend the money and get the good stuff. It will last longer, be higher quality, and be easier to manage.
